Somebody backed into my car in the parking lot and left, he damage is not so bad, but I would like to keep my car neat looking......so do I go with an OEM bumper or something nice....I like the height that the current bumper and was wondering what other bumpers are out there that sit the same way......I like the RD Tornado bumper, but I don't want to break the bank to do this.....any suggestions???? [idea]

Hey same thing happened to me, I'm most likely just going to buy OEM though and do it myself. I hope that something really bad happens to whoever ran into my car and yours.

If you have to replace it anyway why not look into the M-Tecnik parts. They are listed in the accessories catalog available at the dealer parts counter.

I spoke with my dealership and he says the M-Tek bumper is not available for 2000 328Ci, they say it's too complicated to install...........

I see the dealer only lists the rear apron for the sedan not the ci for your year. Bavarian Autosport (www.bavauto.com) carries components for the model year 2000ci (1999 on is listed). Mutek is one of the brands. The rear apron lists for $525, pt # I46220. They also carry the Hamann and G-Power brands. The M Technic aero kit for the 3 series 1999 on lists the entire body kit (pn 51 71 0 128 807) for $1300. M Technic is the BMW brand. See if you can locate what you want from them or another supplier.

I do not know whether your car already has ducting that can be utilized. The brake duct kit for the front is nice but not an absolute necessity unless you do driving schools. It can be added later but probably it's easier to do now. The entire BMW M Technic kit will mimic the 2003-2004 Perf Pkg appearance. The Hamann setup is also very nice and pieces can be purchased individually across time. I have not done either installation since mine came with the perf pkg and my 1989 E30 was entirely different. Possibly someone else has installed such a setup and can offer advice on the ease of installation or you can have it professionally installed. The entire kit might be pricey to have installed though but individual pieces maybe not so bad since painting is required and you do it over time.

I thought about it, but since my car has to go into the shop for other fixes, I thougt I would get it over with......the only concern I have is I don't want the bumper to be lower than the OEM bumper I have because roads out here a pretty bady managed......
