You may remember that several weeks ago I posted that I had discovered a large exotic car dealer about 30 miles away from where I live, but they were closed. This dealer sells Ferraris, Maseratis, Aston Martins, and Porsches. Well, I had a free afternoon today (finally!!!!) so I made a trip over there and brought my camera. I filled up both of my memory cards taking pictures - here's a sampling (52 images here).

The front of the dealer

Here's what greets you when you walk in the front door:

A Maserati GranSport

A really nice 575m

A really sweet 360 Challenge Cup - $225,900

Check out the Alcantara dash!

Check out the carbon fiber door panels

No carpet!

An immaculate F40

An equally immaculate F50 (overheard the owner of the dealer mention something about the going price being $1.3 million)

A very nice Dino - $99,000

One of my favorite Ferraris of all time - a beautiful 365 GTS 4 cam Daytona Spyder with 20,000 miles - a steal at $485,000!!!

Beautiful!

This is a 2003 DB AR1 - I've never heard of this car. $246,000

The new Carrera S with Chrono Sport package - looks very sweet in person

The Porsche Composite Ceramic Brake

Nice GT3

The new Boxster

Here's what I found out back when I was leaving:

It was amazing! I was like a kid in a candy store!

That place looks kind of familiar, but I doubt it's the one I know.

When we go to OBX, we always stop and spend the night at a hotel that's within walking distance of an exotics dealer. I know it has Porches and Ferraris. Anyway, it's in a more densly populated area than the one your pics are from. Funny thing is I haven't a clue where it is. But I do know that there's a Fudruckers near there.

Yep, that's the same dealership. They just built this new location out on I-40 right before you get into the busy areas of Greensboro. They moved out of the place where you used to walk to. The new location is visible from the interstate as you are coming into G'boro.

Ah, that's cool.

I never actually went to it, though. For some reason, my parents are never as excited about it as I am. But what do they know? They love the Honda Element.

I got to take a GT3 for a spin.....I did not like it.....I guess I am not a good enough driver, the seats are hard, suspension is bone jarring, engine noise is incredible (did not mind that). No creature comforts for 150k+ car. Looked about as plain inside as the F50. Fast as hell, scary fast. Unless I was actually going to exclusively race that car....I would never buy one. Nice pics by the way.

Wow, nice pics. If you had to pick one, which one would it be? [scratch]

I think I might go with the F50 or 575, but I'm a Ferrari lover!

That's a really tough question. Yeah, the Ferraris are definitely nice, but if I could pick anything that I saw yesterday, I think I'd go home with the silver Aston Martin DB9. Pictures do not do that car justice - I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful car before. Those Astons are simply breathtaking. Plus, you could drive the Aston every day, unlike the F50.

I'd like to own a Ferrari just to say I've owned one. However, if I wanted to take one home, I too would choose the DB9. The Ferrari looks just don't do it for me. Ok, back in the 80s, the F40 was cool and I still love the F50's exterior, but the interiors don't do anythign for me. however, the Aston DB9 is gorgeous inside and out to me. Since I wouldn't track these things, I want a little luxury to go with all that performance.
