my problem

ok lets see this is my first time on here so im a rookie to this. My problem is that i have a E46 standard when i stop at a stop light my car shut off. I notice that the RPM'S drop really fast, so fast that it drops to 0 RPM'S. Can anybody give me any advise, are tell me whats the the problemis I NEED HELP.

That's really odd... sounds like it's a computer problem almost. Is your car out of warranty?

Are you putting the clutch in when you stop the car?

Disclaimer: Sorry, that's not a serious question, and I'm not implying that you're an idiot. I just thought of the situation of someone driving standard shift car and not realizing you have to put the clutch in to stop, and thought it was pretty hilarious. Really, I have nothing to offer in the way of help.

somehow i really don´t think he is not pressing the clutch. i agree with eric on this one. e46 are controlled by sensors and computers in a large amount. if the engine works fine apart from this problem...
