There was a thread here months ago about a guy in England who was building robots out of Minis. OLD THREAD We pretty much decided it was a hoax or an elaborate marketing campaign.

It was indeed a marketing campaign, they are referring to these now as VIRAL campaigns. More Info

I picked up the book/brochure at the Mini/BMW dealer this weekend (my five year old daughter loves the Mini's, plus there is a neat Penske Museum and a Starbucks there).
I haven't read it yet, but it appears to be about "internal combustion" robot sightings in Oxford England. Looks like the same book that was in Motortrend.
