What is really sad is the fact that most of us fan-addicts will never get to drive a car like that.....but some spoiled, ditsy, rich kid gets to drive it....not mention have a tv show, inherit billions, and basically do what they want the rest of their life....grrrrrrr....if i was rich, my kids would earn their inheritance......maybe i am just saying it but man it irks me......

Mercedes ruined the SLR by making it an auto trans car. Should be a regular manual to weed out the "undeserving."

i actually hope she crashes it. it will just be one less hideous merc on the road. EWWWWWWW!!!!!!! those uuuuggggllllyyyy SLR McLaren are sooo well ugly! the car reminds me of a baboon. also it is slower than the Z06 which I for one would much rather have for hundred thousands less.

Yeah meng, the ZO6 maybe faster, but you will not get what the SLR has to offer out of a Chevy as far as technology, quality, exclussivness, and many other things.

To each their own and I would agree about ugly Merc most of the time....but the SLR is a bad ass piece of machinery. And c'mon now you honestly would take a ZO6 vette over a 3/4 of a million dollar Mercedes, I think your smokin' the pipe buddy, I mean you could always sell the Merc and buy an M5, a Ferrari 430 and still have enough money to buy your ZO6.

thats not truely the case. think about it my friends all that "technology" forces the car to lose all of what makes up driving. with all those gadgets you would soon forget how to drive and would rely on "technology" to help you race. if you lose that then when you hop into a GT3 RSR you'd think its a piece because it doesnt have all the assists that the new cars have. the Z06 only has traction control.
plus it would cost a heck of alot more to maintain than a Z06 and the vette would leave that ugly, heavy, gas-guzler in the dust.

The technology makes it do things that otherwise it couldn't do, that's all. It's not like the computer is driving for you. Plus the vette is great till you realize in the end you own a GM and get support from GM - which is absolutely terrible.

Who knows, but I do know one thing.. My dads friend of a friend recently got himself a brand new Z06, and within about a month or so, the head gasket went. They even have the nerve to tell him that they will replace the engine in the same car. They are getting sued as we speak.

Oh nice, our van waited to 40somethousand miles. Of course that was the head gasket, the lower intake gasket (a gasket with no real stresses...) went out right out of warranty. Fu*k that shit, no thanks.
