Bleecchhh....

  • Tikki-style paintwork and extensive body kit
  • Complete set of wheels with “Surfer” rims in 8x20 with 235/30ZR20 tyres
  • Sports rear silencer and KW suspension
The Tikki-style BMW 3 series from Mattig, which can be admired at the Essen Motor Show 2005, is straight from a Hawaiian surfer film. Based on paintwork designs typical of cars from the surfing scene, the E46 adds a splash of colour to the vehicles quite different from the plain colours usually available from body shops. This design once again highlights Mattig’s expertise as a specialist for offbeat car styling.

This unusually painted BMW gleams with its airbrushed wave pattern and naturally also features a number of sporty custom components to match. The front of the E46 is pepped up with a GRP front spoiler along with a diamond grill, giving the front end of this mid-range car a sportier look. This BMW 3 series is given a more serious appearance by a set of headlight covers. Mattig enhances the rear end of car, which is otherwise somewhat lacklustre in the series version, by fitting a number of body-styling components. For example, a GRP rear apron to match the spoiler at the front. The Mattig rear spoiler, which does not appear too obtrusive but blends in harmoniously, has a stabilising effect at high speeds. Complementing this is also the rear window spoiler. Sports mirrors complete this stylish package.

To match this of-beat design and paintwork “Surfer” spoked wheels measuring 8x20 with 235/30ZR20 tyres are also available. To further enhance the already excellent handling characteristics of the E46, Mattig offers a KW coilover suspension for this sporty saloon. It goes without saying that such a stylishly customized car also requires the right sound. This is created by fitting a stainless twin-branch rear silencer.

Just when you think you've seen it all....

There is always someone else out there to prove you wrong. 20" wires on an E46!! Good lord man/woman get some sense of taste, because that car displays none IMO....

I hope whoever did that is planning on keeping that car for a long time... or selling it to some idiot. When you paint a luxury car the resale value goes into the sewer...
