Can't wait to be able to build it on the site to see how much they are going for [:p] .
True! But this little thing on the M6 has been on the BMWUSA web site for a long time. I guess I just spend way too much time on that web site lol...

You know, now that I've seen the M5 (which I think is awesome by the way), I kind of like the exterior look of the E60s a little more. Having said that, I can say that I don't think the the M6 has had the same effect on me in regards to the 6er (which I think looks okay in its standard format).

The M6 (exterior-wise) just doesn't do it for me. I'm not really a big fan of the rear (even on the original) and I really hate the wheels. I've never been a big fan on the smoked chrome look, but since the spokes are relatively small on the M6's wheels, I just think there's too much black/gap that you can see through. I realize the M5 (past and present) has had smoke chrome wheels but both versions have had many spokes. Additionally, has anyone noticed that some E60 M5 photos show the car with clearcoats? Oh, and what is up with that funked up rosewood/burgundy color?? Not exactly a flattering color, I think, for marketing photos...

I agree, the 6-Series' styling is more contraversial than the 5-Series, and the M6's 19" wheels seem inappropriate - way too much of the brakes are exposed. The M6's body styling (specifically the body kit) looks like a 6-series with an M Sport Package or something, whereas the M5 straight up looks like a true M Car.

I don't think they are going to have a build process, the Z8 didn't have one, all "special" limited production models they don't let you - come to think of it I don't think the third gen M5 had one.

The Z8 was a very special car, and there was only one model and no options so a "Build Your Own" for the Z8 would have been pointless. You were able to build your own M5 at the BMWusa web site, but there were only like 2 options or so (just the way the X5 4.8is is now).
I expect the M5 and M6 to have a Build Your Own and as codex requested, I'll post it up as soon as I find out that BMW makes it available (I'll probably be there the first second they put it up, lol).

It is awsome....but why the limiter 155mph? I know it is a gentlemans agreement because of pressure from the Germans Green Party....but why. If I had the money to buy an M5 or an M6.....I wouldn't just because for 50k less I can buy a normal 545i or even a 530i or a 330i ZHP and still make the 155 top end....maybe not as fast, but I could still do it. I think that if you buy a 100k euro plus car, that the Greeners should be happy off of the amount of tax procured from the sale that they could feesably un limit these particular "super cars" JMO

Good point. BMW officially states that if you remove the top speed limiter on the M5 or M6, both cars are capable of reaching 200 miles per hour.
And think, that would make those cars the "2nd place bang for the buck" cars, after the corvette. Oh well!!

The M6 I think looks very nice in black, if it were black that is. I've seen I think some tuners (probably AC or other tuner forgot) have the 6-series in black with nice race wheels and I must say that car comes out looking purdy :D

I'm going to the Chicago Auto show and I think that they will be having the M6 and I'm exicted to even see the M5 [clap] hope I get to atleast grace my ass in the seat and dream [rofl]
