Looks like a standard 5 touring with the M package (not available in the USA, to my info). Only difference might be the side-mirror. But hey....might be wrong

I have no problem being smoked by an M5 Wagon, but it should look mean as hell when it's pulling up behind me. Just looks like a wagon. Remember when the E30 M3 look completely different that a E30 325e? Now you can't tell M cars unless you see twin exhaust pipes or badging. With the way BMW is designing cars now, the headlights will be reaching right up to the side mirrors.

But yeah, I'd take one.

I dont mind the look of the wagon, although i aggree with you E30m42cab "it should look mean as hell when it's pulling up behind me." looks like bmw have given the man with a huge family a toy that he AND his family can enjoy.
I love the curvy body work on the new bimmers.
And dont quote me but, i like the head lights.
I dont even want to imagine panel beating the engine lid on that thing, lol :S

I agree with them doing a wagon, they should have done an e39 m5 wagon like they did for the e34

Have you seen the new RS6 Wagon??? Looks pretty basic, but my guess is that one would have more time to say,"Holy hell!!!! What was that???" as it zips by than,"man that new audi is lame looking!"

Oh by the way.... the new RS6 wagon has the same engine as the Lambo Gallardo.
