Driver Training with BMW M cars.

Are you an enthusiastic driver with a particular liking for sports cars and high-performance cars? Then it's clearly a sensible idea to practice the most important driving maneuvers in extreme situations at the wheel of a BMW M car. As a developer and manufacturer of sport-oriented vehicles, BMW is aware of its special responsibility in this respect, and this special training therefore offers drivers an individual introduction to M Power, from theory through chassis and suspension design, the SMG gearbox and driving practice on the racing circuit. You can be certain that we pull out all the stops when it comes to BMW M Power driving. Experience this special sensation with a group of people who think the way you do.

This is a double edged sword.........you are going to take some jack ass drivers over here and maybe teach them HOW to drive their cars safely, and then you are going to take your normal drivers and enhance their driving skills so that they think they are racers, thus making them dangerous drivers. I love to drive fast, but only when it is safe to do so, I don't tailgate or pass on the right (unless I have to), I don't flash people and pressure them to make rash decisions. There is WAY to many of these types of drivers over here and giving them the false confidence that they are now somehow transformed in 2 days to be race car drivers could prove to be potentially hazardous in some situations. But it does sound like it would be cool......just think that there should also be an age requirement, most German kids don't have the maturity and or comprehension levels at 18- 24 years old to know that 343 hp is nothing to be complacent about.

perf center program i'm sure there are differences, like not being at the legendary lurburgring, but i suppose trucking down to sc maybe cheaper than germany.

altho how much would it kick ass to do a euro delivery of an m car, and take the course right there? ah, my 10 year plan..

dave: i don't know your manual driving proficiency, but unless you are a really good manual driver, you won't be able to extract the best performance out of your car w/ a manual at the track. having an automatic, or in this case a smg tranny will help you concentrate on the road and the car that much more imo. important thing at the track is the line, and trying to heel toe, while looking for the next turn point etc will surely mess me up. and i am a fan of manuals too..

edit: i actually followed up on the link, and they do offer more programs it seems. so the perf center maybe a baby step before the nurburgring jump. oh to take that course would be too sweet!!
