M Coupe problem

Well, my friend's M Coupe horn no longer works for some reason. We thought it sounded like a sissy horn ever since he got it, but from then on it's been sounding more and more like a Ferrari horn, which doesn't sound threatening at all. It's kind of a horrible feeling getting pissed off at someone on the road and slamming on the horn, and hearing this high pitched "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Now it no longer works at all. Yesterday some woman cut us off from a dead stop when we were going 60mph, we tried to honk at her but the horn is completely dead. Does anybody know how to fix this? I remember a long time ago my mom's VW Golf had this problem and we had to take it in to the shop. I think that it can be fixed without dropping $100+ though, we just don't know how to take it apart or where it is. For now we've come up with a temporary solution, which consists of a $6 bicycle horn, primarily used to harass pedestrians and passer-bys. The only problem is that we can only use it when both of us are in the car... anyone have any advice?

Rofl, I like that temporary solution.
It could be that the horn itself is dead (probably not) or there is something wrong with the electrical aspect of it. When we used to have the ML430, the horn was very random...half the time you wanted to honk, it wouldn't make a peep, but the other half of the time, it would work just fine. This was an issue with the connection of the horn, but the dealership was not able to fix it when we took it in. But it sounds like the horn unit itself has died out, don't you think? I'm sorry I cannot help more.

Btw, Ferrari horn OWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn it... so that means that we'll most likely have to pay for something? It used to randomly work, like if you pressed the top of the horn button it would make a high-pitched beep, then the bottom was a bit lower pitched but it would kind of crackle. I don't know what to do.
