Hey guys.
My next door neighbor needed her car jumped (hadn't driven it in 2 months), and she said I could drive it. It's a Lotus Elan. Has less than 20k on it and it was and absolute blast to drive.
Once it finally warmed up, it was such a cool car to drive. I was on the Lodge 10 and going under a straight away tunnel and I cranked it; it was so responsive. And the handling kinda made my 3-Series feel wobbly. It was so precise and exact. It could handle curves at 100 with no problem at all. Acceleration was seemless
THe exhaust note was so perfect; shifts were so perfect. It felt like it has a close-ratio transmission, but I'm not sure. THe car felt so light and 'crisp.'
Are these rare cars? I'm not sure; I just know it was a great little roadster to drive.
(I was a little cramped 6'2"; but if the wheel tilted I would have been fine)
