Hello everyone,
Well you may recall that last month I called upon this community of BMW enthusiasts for some advice and help. Well everyone on the forum was very helpful with the problem I had. The pixxels had gone out on my mothers car. Well after posting a few threads, I decided to give BMWNA a call. After taking to the dealer, the local dealer said they had no idea, nor had any knowledge of this problem. From my research these problems has been around every since the E38 7- series. Well after the call to BMWNA, they called the dealer that I was dealing with. One day later I received a call for the service manager and he said that he would be glad to fix the problem. I said well the vehicle is still under warranty, so it was to be fixed for no charge. Well I drop the thing off and about three hours later I get a phone call. It was the service manager, he was telling me that becasue we had a K40 radar detector install. That was the reason why the pixxels went out and it also void the warranty. I mean how in the hell would that radar system make the damn pixxels go out. He must have thought I was a fu$$ing idiot to believe that shit. [B)] Well after a long talk they finally gave in and fixed the problem, as long as I gave them a good rating when BMWNA called. I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice. Thank You

That is so much crap I can smell it here in Pennsylvania!!! NO WAY would a radar detector kill a pixel in a display.

Now if you had a 5 watt radar jammer (transmitter) and pointed the wave guide at the display, well, that MIGHT cause some damage...lol

That's the worst case of BS I've ever heard, but I'm glad they made things right and fixed it for you.
