Well one of my fog lights went, so i'm going to replace both fog lights, and the low beams too. I've been digging around looking at various 9006 bulbs (low beam) and don't know who to believe on which bulb is best.

Any recommendations? I'd like a really white bulb, but i want it bright too.

TIA

I have sylvania cool blues in the sho. They're nice and bright as headlights and not a gay blue ricer style. If they make a fog light in that size go for it.

Did your fog lights AND low beams go or just the fog light?

Philips Vision Plus are the brightest stock-wattage Halogen bulbs you can buy, and they have the stock Halogen yellow-ish color. Only problem is, they are illegal in the US, so you have to purchase them from the UK. You can purchse them here:

The next best are definitely Sylvania SilverStars as wood_e recommended. They are almost as good as the Philips Vision Plus, but they have a really nice white color to them. You can purchase them at various online stores.

Yeah Dan I got mine at the checker auto parts on rockford. I think you really can't go wrong with the sylvanias. They work well and are cheap. Be sure to leave one of your old bulbs in and put a new one in the other side and check out which is brighter. I tihnk you will be pleasently surprised. [:D]

I know Osram and Sylvania are the same company...but aren't those two companies just a sub-division of Philips? I have a feeling that is the case, because the Silverstars are just so darn close in illumination to the Philips Vision Plus bulbs....they are like the US-legal version of the Vision Plus bulbs with a nicer white color. i pulled no short straws actually. i just thought he ran the country well. i really don't care that he lied to everyone about his little affair, because by nature that is a politicians duty. not to say that by any means i support infedelity, but how come clinton gets all the crap, what about jefferson?

I just did some research and Philips and Osram are separate companies, so I apologize in my previous post, I didn't mean to mis-inform anyone. frolf, if you go with the Osram/Sylvania SilverStars, you should probably purchase the European version as those bulbs are brighter and have a sharper beam pattern and cut-off. Not legal in the US (the US SilverStars are toned down), so you have to buy them from powerbulbs.com but it is definitely worth it. [:)]
