Euros, Japanese Keep Most Value
A new report from Kelley Blue Book says that European and Japanese cars are among those most likely to hold more value as they age. The report, culled from Kelley's estimates of 2005 model-year vehicles, puts the following vehicles as those that will retain the most value in the next five years: the BMW 5-Series, MINI Cooper, Acura TL, Infiniti G35 coupe, Mazda RX-8, Mercedes-Benz CLK 320 cabriolet, and Nissan 350 Z cars, and Volvo XC90, Lexus GX 470, and Porsche Cayenne sport-utility vehicles. Kelley's report adds that BMW's vehicles are poised to retain the most value over the same period, at about 50 percent of their value. Kelley says its report is based on current demand and historic resale values.
