Well as the title of the thread said, I just finished installing this steering wheel cover. It is leather and extremely high quality. They quote 30min to an hour install time, it took me 3 hours. I am a perfectionest so I wasnt supprised it took me longer. I am very satisfied with the results, love the colors. Cost $40 for two toned, 35 for single color. Its available in a range of colors and you can combind them however you like, mine is two toned with Black and Burgundy. Note: Burgundy is actualy darker than the picture makes it look, very rich color with a red tone while not being bright red (also available).

coyotefreek,

Looks cool....
But does it make the steering wheel feel bulkier now? Did you have to remove the original layer? I thought about installing that before, but if it makes it bulkier, I don't like handling a thick steering wheel.

The BMW steering wheel is the same size as the steering wheel on my Cougar. The case makes a litle bulkier but not much, the wheel is still very confortable to hold. There was no original layer on my steering wheel, just the actual wheel. I thought the BMW wheel did not come with any extra layer, BMW wheel circumference is 3 6/8" so expect it to go to 4 2/8".

I found this pic of one of these wheel skins on a BMW M3 Steering wheel. (the color is red and black)

Looks very nice, good job man. I was thinking about doing that to my steering wheel when I had the Jetta, but I didn't have the guts for it. Good job !!

Nice looking coyotefreak, I was looking at getting a white and blue sheel skin. Looks real nice for the price. Thanks for the pics. If I could only get a matching E-brake boot.
