The 3 series seem to be dropping in value fast. I think you can get a nice 01 or 02 330 for low $20's without a problem. Even less next spring-summer I would think.

With my zip code I am getting $21,500 for a 01 330 with 45,000 miles. This is with pp and sport.

frolf - you realize a certified preowned only comes with the remaining warranty + 1 year? Your insurance costs will be astronomical.

Also, after that warranty ends, your repairs will be super high too. I'm not saying "don't do it", but think about waiting till after school to buy one. I could - if i squeezed a few pennies, afford to lease a NEW bmw, but insurance would kill me - esp if I were in an accident.

around here is still pricey...and the mileage isn't that bad (just thinking how my dad drove his 150k + in 2 years) probably all those miles are freeway, or must of em

I think dealers are trying to keep the prices up but there are just too many of these cars around for the prices to stay up.

I think So. Cal is one of the best places to buy because of the price. My 03 330 is from Riverside and the area had better prices than NV or AZ.

I think the key is not going over the mid price value because the car is not worth a dime more than this. And if a dealer does not shave $2-4000 off asking to get there you are being screwed and best go somewhere else.
