blah, converts aren't my cup of tea
I know what you mean, but every time I see a roadster such as the Z4 or Boxster S or something like that with the top down driving in the sun on the highway....it just looks absolutely priceless.

Daman i would give anything to have the first three versions of the M5... E28, E34, and E39. The E60? No manual transmission so no thanks.
[?|] Where do you keep coming up with "No Manual Tranny" for the E60 M5? There is..is...IS and one more time IS going to be a MANUAL TRANNY for the E60 M5. Right now the entire production of the M5 is on hold due to some tranny issues with the SMG.

[hihi] I'm really not trying to be a d***head here but there is no mention of a conventional manual transmission (i.e. with a cabin operated clutch) ANYWHERE. If you don't believe me then look at the bmw.com website that shows the new M5 preview. There is no mention of a conventional manual there.

If you heard them say there was going to be a manual trans. in that video that we can't see because of the shitty link then i'd view it with a little scepticism. It's the only time i've heard anyone say that so until BMW actually confirm it then i will assume the new M5 will be SMG only - as every other source implies.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to start any arguments here but i just don't think you're right on this one. If you can prove me wrong then I'll be extremely happy[thumb]

Are we talking just the new 5 series, or the new M5? Hell, I've already driven a new 6 spd manual 5 series doing some test drives.. It would be a crime against humanity (or at least BMW drivers) if they didn't have a manual in the M5. It would go against the whole Motorsport grain to not have a manual offered..

I'd 99.9999% count on it.

Yes, we are talking about the E60 M5 and yes it would be an absolute disgrace if it wasnt offered in manual but unfortunately i think this will be the case. SMG looks like the only tranny.

Please Chesty Bonds send me a physical address where I can send you a copy of this video I have. It distinctly says that it will be offered in both SMG and 7 speed manual versions. I will send you the vid. I just need an address.
