Insane Grand Am wreck (M3)

This is a pretty crazy wreck, happened this past weekend in ohio. Posting for those who haven't seen! Driver had some muscle pains but otherwise came out alright.

Ouch, that sucks.. That GTO did him dirty. This wouldn't happen to be the GT class where the Skyline made it's US debut, would it? Im just a bit confused since I didn't see a GTO nor M3 in this series

Thanks, but in my original post I said it was an M3. If you can't make an educated decision on what kind of car it is even after reading that, don't give me attitude.

i believe he said it "looks" like an e90, not "it is" an e90.

How he wrote it could have been mistaken for both ways, but when someone usually puts "That's an E46?" it usually implies confusion as to whether or not they know what model it is.

I was just making conversation, and wanted to maybe point out or see if you share the same view about the BMW in the video that got wrecked which looked very roundish like the new BMWs that are comin out. Thought maybe it may have been some concept they decided to race or somethin of an E90 M3 like car, since I don't know much about that race series and that looks nothin like the M3 race car.. Because your lookin to get smart after that last thread we had awhile back is totally understood. But still kinda messed up cause I didn't hold anything against you.

Hideous looking crash, amazing only some aches and pains for the driver.

I think what gives it an e90 look is that the top of the headlights slope a little seen at the start of the frontal view part (second half of video), although the corners, the two doors, etc are all e46.

For all you punters, it's an ex-PTG race prepped E46 M3. Came from BMW as a "body-in white" with it's own serial # and factory-installed roll cage. Massive flaring of fenders and other changes make the profile somewhat different than average street M3. Attend a GrandAm race near you and check out these truly impressive cars up close.
