What are you up here for? We should meet up. I'm unsure of that area but I think martin (bahnstormer) knows of a directory of indy's. PM him and ask.

Not in Lehigh Valley, but in Reading, about 45 miles from Allentown, is Heinrich's. I have not had work done there, but I have talked to them, and have a good reputation in the area. They have specialized in BMW since the 70s.

About 1.5 hours - 2 hours away if you drive like a grandma. Most likely I'm not more than 30 minutes out of your way when you drive back home. We will have to meet up, maybe we can find a weekend kirby and the rest of our susquehanna valley/philly members are around. I doubt that's gonna happen though! Even I work full time now [rofl]

I went to that BMW dealer off 22 and they were awful. I need to find a good independent. I hope somebody knows of one. I'd want to turn it in while I'm working, cuz I think it might take a few days.

Uggghhhh, if I get stuck having to take it to that dealership i'll be so disappointed. I really want to do my window myself, it's can't be that hard. Problem is i also need to replace the fan unit, it sounds like it's about to launch and that's harder to get to. And I have a few other little issue...just no time anymore for the DIYs and day long waxing sessions!

If I wasn't working full time I'd come up and help ya replace it. Hope you find someone reputable, if you were closer to harrisburg and carlisle I would have two excellent places to reccomend.

Yeah, Daniels. It wasn't THAT bad, just typical stealership prices/bad service...nobody at the parts department. Thanks Kirby, I'm going to check out helmuts. They might be closer to me than Daniels anway, which is way over west near the turnpike.

And thanks Eric, I wish I wasn't working full time either...actually, I figured out I can grip the window from the inside and push it down while I active the button, and I can get it to work. LOL. It's my '99 ghetto bmw now. Only 157,000 miles though. I figure it's just getting broken in about now.
