I wonder...?
I have the one in the 3rd pic, but I haven't seen the one with the flip-key, looks like VW's design. Are they the keys for the latest models?

I like the VW/Audi/Bentley flipout keys. They are clunky but at least you don't have a metal bar poking you near your crotch. Still, I'd take anything that gives me a range beyond 10 feet.

My grandfather bought flip keys for his Mercedes, they look just like the last pic. They are the coolest key I have ever seen, its a key built into a remot, and its so much to keep flipping it open and closed. With his Mercedes (1999 S320) came with the standard keys but he purchased the new keys and the dealar was able to program them to his old Meercedes. If BMW is the same then it could be possible to program the flip keys to the older cars.

But as beemerworld said they were never available for the BMW so you cant get them anyway.

The flip keys are some imitation. Never been realesed by BMW.
On that note I'd advise the following:
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. [^]

I second that, my Mercedes had the switchblade key, was pretty cool but BMW has not made one that I know of, some dude sells one on Ebay but says the buttons will not work, also, if it is a late 90's BMW key it has a transponder in it and buying that key will not work.

Here is one for sale on Ebay:

Will not work with a BMW that has key transponder......doubt anyone will ever get the buttons to work with the stock earlier model alarm either. Just my 2 cents.....

Another one is for sale here and it says the buttons are fake and do not work....what a joke.

Buyers beware..........
