Which BMW would you get?
Where would you get it from?
What method of payment would you choose?
What mistakes have you made in the past that you would not care to repeat?

Yes - my car is due for a change, £750.00 per month is my budget.

All comments/recommendations gratefully received

Hello, welcome to the forum.
£750.00 is $1,377.60 USD and for that money, you could easily afford an M3 Coupe, which is what I would go with. I would go with that car because it is arguably the greatest sports car on the road (particularly for the price).
I would also probably buy the car because the BMW M cars have very high resale value, I could keep it for as long as I like, and I can feel free to mod it.
Leasing the car is a good idea if you use it as your daily driver, you know how much mileage you put on the car (yearly), and you just pay the easier monthly payment and you get a brand-new car in 3 years.
But correct me if I'm wrong, don't you have to pay a lot more money for your cars? I mean, even including the exchange rate, a Range Rover here costs about $75,000 USD. But doesn't a Range Rover over in England cost around $130,000 USD?

Vette....not to many of those in England....you could smoke all of those stuck up snooty Bently drivers.
Yes but only for about a year (or 15K miles, whichever comes first), after which the Chevrolet roots begin to show through and the thing falls apart like all other lowest bidder built cheapo American cars. [boxface]

Last I saw, a Bentley's interior and ride are its forte, not off the line acceleration. Besides, the snooty Bentley driver can laugh at you and your POS vette all the way to their 5 million dollar mansion in the hills.

Seriously, get a new M3 like the guys are saying.

Does anyone realize how much of a ripoff your average Bentley is? Rolls-Royce used to be the same way...you pay like $300K for the car and it doesn't pack half the technology of a BMW 7-series or a MB S-Class. I mean honestly...where does your money go? Only the new Rolls Royce Phantom is somewhat worth its price because it's finally up-to-date in terms of luxury and technology features, and overall vehicle performance. Plus, as a Phantom owner, the only maintenance you need to perform is filling the tank with gas...your local Rolls-Royce dealership takes care of everything else...and I mean EVERYTHING else.

WOW....sorry if I hit a sore spot with ya.....The thread did not start talking about "the Hills" Its England and England has Bentleys like Germany has Bimmers, I was just saying that there are very FEW Vettes in England and if one wanted to "stand out" that would be a car to consider. As far as quality goes, by American standards the Vette is one of the better built cars. Yes I know "American Standards" are WAY lower than the European standard.
