I don't know if anyone else has seen one (in the US) but I just spotted my first M5 on the way to therapy yesterday. I was driving by Plaza Motors in Stl, it's a big dealership with Porsche, Land Rover, Mercedes, Cadillac, Audi, Infiniti, and BMW of course, and I saw the powerful beauty. After therapy I rolled by the dealership to check her out. Interlagos Blue exterior with black leather interior. Very beautiful car and I thought it looked really nice in interlagos blue, I wish I had a camera then but I will go back and take them if anyone wants to see. [thumb]

Has anyone else seen the new M5 and if so in what color?

I thought I would share my excitement b/c my g/f could care less.

Enjoy your Thursday!

I would have thought for damn sure there would be a bunch rolling around in the states by now. I see them here every other day or so. Never ceases to take my breath away.

Come on Eric, do you have any personal experience with Dinan equipment? Like I have said on many occassions, I had Dinan Stage II on my 91 318is and it was superb! I got numerous comments on its handling abilities and ride. I had a Dinan chip in it and tried a JC chip, which I prefered over the Dinan, however that was a result of personal use and experience.

My M roadster has Dinan Stage II suspension, Dinan Short Shifter, and a Dinan Strut Tower Brace. They have been great upgrades and I have no complaints about either. Steve Dinan has earned a reputation witih BMW and the racing world that is stellar. He is an authorized BMW tuner and many BMW dealers are Dinan authorized facalities. Is he the best, I do not know, is he the cheapest, no!

When did you see that? Last time I went there they told me they didnt have any. Camelback bmw didnt have one either...
One of my coworkers went down there about alittle over a month ago to look at the new 3-Series. He said there was one sitting on the showroom floor and you can even test drive it. They required that you had two forms of credit card before you can even schedule a test drive. [:D]

I think its boring becuase he's NOT the best - he's the best in terms of consistancy but there are MANY Other tuners out there who build products that are better (just not any ONE tuner though). I have always thought buying dinan parts (expcept for stuff ONLY dinan makes) for any car that's not still under BMW warranty is a waste of $$. No doubt dinan is great at what he does, he brought bmw tuning to the USA, but there are tuners popping up that will be and are giving him a run for his money.

I thought this was exciting...

I already told you about the new M5 I spotted...well, I went to the dealership I bought my car from and my parents bought their cars from to see if they had an M5. I walk in and they know me by name since I come in fairly often just to check things out. He asks if I saw it outside to which I reply no. Then he lets me hop in and start it! I opened the hood and checked out the beast inside, the trunk is huge by the way. Anyway, I guess the guy ordered it forever ago and was coming to pick it up today. Although it is a REALLY nice car, I like the look of the older M5 better and I love my M3 in comparison!

Happy Halloween!
