Ok folks I have really done it now. After 165000 miles, my trusty 97 Ford Explorer died last week. Today I went and ordered a 2004 Bmw X5 4.4i. I got the Toledo Blue with black leather interior. I ordered the sport package and the Navagation system plus a load of other options. Im very excited about this purchase and can't wait until it arrives. Im told 12-18 weeks. Yes its a Sport Utility, but since im in Real Estate I want an impressive(read comfortable for clients) vehicle and one that I can take just about anywhere. The X5 fits the bill perfect!

My question is now I want to sell my Little 85 325e. Its been a great car and I have done alot of work on it. New interior(all Black), timing belt, plugs, wires, water pump, tires, control arm bushings, etc. I was wondering what the car is worth? Should I try to sell it on Ebay or just sell it on the side of the road?[driving]

Sounds like it's going to be the worst 12-18 weeks of your life followed by the best 200k+ miles you've ever experienced. Have fun!

Congrats on the order !! Post pics and let us know when you get it !! [:)]

Just one question, is ride comfort for other clients very important? Because every time I've been in the back seat of an X5 w/Sport Package, the experience has been nothing more than a leather-wrapped schoolbus bench...for some reason, the ride is just incredibly harsh back there if the roads are poor. I'm just saying this as something to consider, if ride quality in the back is very important to you...otherwise definitely go for the sport package and congrats on the car. [:D]
