and brought home a 2005 745i.

Alpine white, sport package, loaded. It only had 4700 miles and is spotless, so I couldn't pass it up. So far I love it. I spent Sunday afternoon waxing it and giving it my usual TLC.

I was very sad though to leave my little silver E39. It was a great car but a little too small.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! LOVE the 7 Series...if the garage was 4 inches longer, I think I'd have one sitting in the garage too.

The E39 is a great car, but I think you will love your new 7er. What colour interior? Post some more pics, and again Congratulations!!! [driving]

The interior is flannel grey leather. I like the light colors for maintenance and because it gets hot here (112 today).

It is a very smooth-riding car without the mushy feel you get in a lot of big cars. Very nice car. I need to do some practice with the iDrive and navigation but that just gives me an excuse to play with my new car.

Nice! I love white cars.

I've just discovered the joys of a black interior for maintenance. My mom's E320 has a light stone colored interior and that thing gets dirty sooooo easily and it's soooo hard to clean. My black interior still looks brand new.

Where are you located? I'm out in the Sac area and it's freaking hot too, but with Huper Optik and V-Kool tint, my black interior is no big deal.

I'm a few hours away from you in Redding. It's really hot here today, over 110. My lawn is burning but my car looks GREAT.

The lighter interior is harder to keep clean but I just keep the shop vac next to my car and some leather cleaner and 303 are also nearby. That way it's easy to take care of things frequently.

DRWWE - You ever try lexol vinylx? I just bought a bottle of vinylx the other day, but then found 303 aerospace at the local true value for $12, argh! I'm debating wether or not it's worth buying it.

BTW nice car!

Haven't tried it. I have used 303 for several years and really like it. I usually order it online but don't remember how much I paid.

I usually don't worry about the price when it comes to car care - but it sounds like 303 aerospace is good stuff.
