not really a car chat, but more a forum question.

over the months, i developed a habit of quoting or calling posters by their first name, rather than the user name. do you guys have a preference?

i for one like being called by my first name, i feel like i'm better known in the forums or appreciat that the poster actually took time to find out what my name is. i was just wondering how others felt. (it would lead to some confusion as to, 'who is he talking about?' tho..)

I too think using someone's first name shows that you took the time to get it. Either being called Adam or Deutsch100 or Deutsch (which lots of people seem to call me) is cool. The above three are better than full of crap, resistant to change, backward thinking and old fashioned [:D]

Thats a good question, I've always tried to make a habit of remembering people's first name since I feel its more personal.

lisha....[rofl] [thumb]

everyone outthere might call me tim. i like it the personal way. but i think that it also depends on the nick, too. there are nicks that are so unique and fun that i like to call people after their nick.

Either one is fine. Shortened form is fine too (don't need the 57 part). I like being called codex or Rich. Whenever someone asks my name, I always say the full version of Richard, but I think I actually prefer just being called Rich.
