How not to do line-lockers

This is quite hilarious. Some people are quite stupid really! My mate saw this happen.

Just so you guys know, the Falcon XR8 you see here has a 5.4 litre DOHC, 32valve V8 pumping out 260KW of power and 500NM of twist over virtually unladen rear-wheels, which makes this car quite agreeable to the good old circle-work!

Enjoy.

"How to become the town smacktard in one easy step...

Having lunch at the lady's place on Saturday arvo when I could hear the sound of a V8 engine pulling circle work and burnout smoke started pouring into the house. Quickly I grabbed the camera and ran for the front door. As I got out the front I heard a loud crack! Followed by a massive BANG! like a shotgun. Then along with the smell of burnout smoke I could also smell cooking engine parts...

The background is the guy up the road had left his XR8 ute in the care of his "mate" who had been "testing" the capabilities of the beast for the past week or two. Most of the locals had been pretty pissed at him for the disturbances of speeding and burnouts in the suburban streets.

On this day he was going crazy with laying rubber out the front. From what I can gather he overheated the engine, then munted the gearbox (pieces all over the road) but kept the boot in so over-revved the engine and destroyed that also. When smoke started pouring out the bonnet he must have panicked and tried to pull off the road and ended up into a tree.

He's the young guy in the white shirt...

Unfortunately I missed out of getting any action shots but here's what I caught on camera":

HAHAHAHA - I never like laughing at someone's misfortune, but seriously... seems like they acted like an idiot. Far out man, quite pathetic really. They don't build these new cars like they did the muscle cars of the '80's eh? My Brother has had two VH SL/Es and all he ever did was blow the diff... to be expected really, but the engine or transmission never shat itself.

What an ultimate smoking machine! Also, I feel bad about the tree in front of the truck.

That guy was so focused and knew what he wanted - a Harley Stupidson! Band! Band!

Hahaha a line-locker is when you have your foot on the brake while nailing the accelerator to give you a huge burnout whilst standing still. It's great fun [:D]

Here's a pic of a line-locker:

Some of us call it a "brake stand" [wiggle]

I prefer power slides. Much more impressive [;)]

not that u can do them (mailbox) but powersliding takes you out of view
whereas donutting allows viewers to fully admire you from close up

u can give them the finger, u can wave w/e u wanna do

powersliding entails high speeds and low visibility =] in the e34 all they
see is ur arms wailing around trying to counter steer cuz of the gigantic
turning radius =]

Mailbox wasn't powersliding. If i were powersliding it wouldn't have happened [clap]

but yes the gigantic turning radius AND the steering wheel that Semi drivers wouldn't like.

Gigantic turning radius is relative. My E34 can out-turning radius an Accord by quite a bit, and the Accord is not a very big car. You hoodlum kids are just spoiled by your little E30s.

Hah dude my dad's 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab has a tighter turning radius than my e34, so does my dad's grand prix!!! E34 is really bad actually.

Well, all I know is, mine isn't that bad, and it's deffinately better than any of the cars' we own with the exception of my dad's and my brother's 3s.
Oh I dont doubt there are cars with a worse turning radius. You are right on about the honda's. My neighbors civic has the turning radius of a train car.
