High speed Bimmer chase/wreck

While I must admit that I am truly impressed by the speed of that new E90 there are three things that really shit me about this video:
1) That fool in the 4WD who thought he could play the hero by helping the cops. He should be locked up too.
2) The fact that a high-speed chase of this nature is even allowed to happen.
3) The fact that this entertainment is perceived as being news-worthy.
The shit I watch on television news really irritates me. I don't give a rats arse if some little old lady was attacked by a dog on her way back from the shops. Seems like our news is going the way of your news too. It sucks.

Yea but this is america!! It's part of california. To me it makes no sense to chase the person with CARS when they already have police helicopters! It's not like he's going to get away and last I checked, cops had radio!!

No injuries to anyone.
The majority of the time the BMW driver followed the speed limit, only towards the end did he reach 100 mph (80 is normal speed for freeways).
My mother called and said she heard there was an out of control BMW going down 59 South (my side of town) and wanted to make sure it wasn't me.......sure right Mother.![[clap]](/images/smilies/icon_smile_clap.gif "Clap [clap]")

Hey, Lancaster WGAL channel 8 had an article on Monday night you would have liked. Someone bought an SLR from the Lancaster Mercedes dealer. They did about 90 seconds of video of the car and and interview with a sales manager. He didn't identify the buyer, but said the guy was going to take it to Spain for a driving vacation!!!
