Hi, newbie here with a few questions.

i dont think the US market has 330i wagons. or am i mistaken? as for the x3, if it matters any, the cost is considerably high comparative to the x5. ive heard that the x3 3.0 is about $40000, which is $5000 cheaper then a new x5 3.0. but if you perfer the smaller size and more car like driving experience, then go with the x3. or a wagon.
well to me the x3 doesnt really make sense, the x5 doesnt really make sense either. the interrior space of the x3 and x5 are about the same as the 3 and 5 series resoectivly except maybe that u can take out seats. i saw the x3 today in the LA auto show . . . it didnt really do it for me and do u really want a hatchback ? and 4wd in santa barbra ? btw im expecting u to pay like more than msrp with the suv madness and all plus with the expeption of x5 and cayenne its the only suv that drives like a car no truck feeling its really nice but nice for a truck . . . not nice for a bmw.
my opinion: 330i or if u want the space 330i wagon . . . but in santa barbra i dont think awd is nessasry.
if ur interested check out the auto show, u can sit in it and see how much room is there, ask questions, im not sure if there in the dealerships yet. but good thing withc auto show is u can check out other makes along with it inteh same place
