OK I bought a Pioneer 7600mp and a bmw factory harness. I hooked up the harness and now i have wires sticking out from the hu and the harness...ON TO CONNECTING...

I currently attached 9 wires from the hu to the harness:
1 White = left front + output
2 White/black = left front - output
3 Green = left rear + output
4 Green/black = left rear - output
5 Gray = right front + output
6 Gray/black = right front - output
7 Violet = right rear + output
8 Violet/black = right rear - output
9 Black = ground

Now I'm left with the following from the hu:
This is directly from the Pioneer manual...

10 Blue/white = To system control terminal of the power amp or auto antenna relay control erminal (max. 300 mA 12 V DC)
11 Yellow/black = If you use a cellular phone connect it via the Audio Mute on the cellular telephone. If not, keep the Audio Mute lead free of any connections
12 Yellow = To terminal always supplied with power regardless of ignition switch position
13 Red = To electric terminal controlled by ignition switch (12 V DC) ON/OFF
14 Orange/white = TO lighting switch terminal

So here is where the confusion factor hits me...
Does 10 attach to the 'remote turn on' wire from the harness or one of the 12 volt swtiched wires?

I assume 11 and 14 won't be connected to anything...?!

Will 12 be connected to the battery wire?

Will 13 be connected to the other 12 volt switched wire or remote turn on?

Much help is appreciated..I'm almost done just need some advice.

1. 10 is the remote lead for any amps in your car, if you dont have any, dont hook it up. i dont know if one comes stock in your car, and if there is no sound when the unit powers up, then i assume you have an amp, and need to connect it accordingly.

2. nope.

3. yellow needs a direct line of power from the battery, there should be a stock wire to hook this up to. DO NOT split it off the power wire.

4. this is your power wire, it should come from the ignition and should also be red. it is not the remote lead.

no prob....good luck. i think i understood you correctly, but if i didnt answer your question, post again with more detail and i am happy to help.
