Well maybe? What if someone had an accident in the car and never reported it? I know an M3 owner who did just that, however a CarFax of his VIN shows the car as clean. Do not depend soley on a CarFax, but it is a start.
I hear you. I also ran an Auto Check report on it and it came back with similar results and ran another background check in my own province. I've also spoken with a number of BMW dealers in Canada and the US that have serviced and checked the vehicle out in the past.
