I am wanting to change my original head unit for an Alpine unit with sat nav. My question is when i bought the car i opted for the BMW hifi with the built in amp, if i change the original head unit do i lose the amp, or is there some sort of harness converter i can buy that still allows me to have the use of the BMW amp. I have seen the cheaper harness converter but it says i cant use it with the high spec system.
