AutoWeek Review:

Ever had a Hamann? Hamann is perhaps the biggest German tuning house you’ve never heard of—located in Laupheim, it is owned and run by Richard Hamann, who competed in the 1983 German Touring Car Championship in a BMW 323i, and who dominated the club racing scene in Germany from 1991 to 1993 in an M1. So he’s been around the block a few times, quickly.

We drove a Hamann car courtesy of Wheel Power in Huntington Beach, California. Wheel Power is the wholesaler and exclusive North American importer for Hamann.

I wonder what "experimenatl" intake from K&N they were referring to? I know K&N has released a 63 series (which is not smog legal) that is supposed to have nice gains (+8-10 rwhp). They've also got the 57 series coming soon which is supposed to be the exact same thing as the 63 series but it should have CARB certification. Supposedly, once the 57 is released (w/Carb), all those who bought the 63 series will receive the CARB cert.

I like what Hamann does and I know the M3 is a sports car, but I think it always ruins the class of the car when you heavily modify a vehicle. In this case, I don't like the chrome lip of the wheels on a white M3...it just doesn't work for me.
