H2 Tried To Race Me???

Hey,

So I was on my way home from a friend's house, it was on the highway (NJ Turnpike from Secaucus to Englewood) and it was around 2:15AM. I am in the right lane doing about 62mph when I see this black rimmed-out H2 (this car is SUCH a joke and I see WAY too many of them) on another highway that merges onto mine. So the H2 merges and gets behind me in the right lane. Then he goes up next to me and is somewhat side-by-side with me just a little bit behind (like in my blind spot) for about 1-2 minutes. Then all of a sudden, the H2 floors it and accelerates away....my windows were down and the engine was right by me so it was easy to hear that the engine was working its hardest. Anyways, I was super tempted to drop down to 3rd or 4th and just punch it but I refused to let that retardo-ute get to me so I just let it go. Should I have shown this fool what my car can do or would I have ended up looking just as ridiculous as the H2 itself???
I'm still young and stupid so I probably should have punched it anyways but it felt more right to let it go...

Those things are POS, with no purpose. Good on you that you just chuckled. I would have done the same; dont waist your time or the risk for them craps.

Traffic conditions were great....no cars in front of us at all because it was so late and I know this stretch of road (no cops are ever around there). I think I probably should have toasted him quickly and drop it back down to normal speeds but I'm trying to be a good boy until I turn 21 (insurance and points/license reasons).

yea, i was gonna say, why even bother to drop it down to 3rd or 4th? keep it on 5th (well i usually keep it there for 60s) or 6th and just effortlessly keep up. what a joke.

too bad it wasn't in the snow, it'd been funny as hell to see one floor it to pass by you, only to end up in the ditch like oh so many dumb suvs in the winter. [:p]

Oh my god, dude... that is absolutley HILARIOUS becuase the same thing has happened to me!! The EXTREMELY funny thing, is that the ONLY cars you see in ditches are SUV's!!!!!!! I have a relatively low rwd car that is bad in RAIN... and I do decent in snow. Especially if you compare it to the SUV's.

LMAO, i drive a 4x4 land rover but i never dare race any sedans or anything smaller than me, except a another suv or a weak car that i know my 3.9 liter can handle. I raced against escalades, hummers, range rovers, X5s ( 3.0!!), etc. The fastest ones i raced was a X5 4.6is ( oh man i got smoked ) and a chevy blazer ( light suv pretty fast ) Im pretty even with a X5 3.0 until about 50 mph, and if im on a highway, my car is very good at speeds between 60-90 will go up that 30mph in like 2seconds or so. Hummers are not even a challenge, these bahemoths are soo slow its rediculous... One thing ive come to learn is that the second i see a nice sharp turn i give up, my car is really tall especially in the back, and I have a warning written in bold on my sun visor not to do any stupid manuvers which might result in a roll over. Anyway, Mr.E u should have smoked him.. i would have [burnout]

Yeah, I was in 6th gear at the time and the H2 floored it and he was barely walking away from me....the acceleration really was quite slow. I probably should have raced him and granted I could have taken him by leaving it in 6th or 5th, if I did choose to race him I would have wanted to destroy him. If this H2 driver was nuts enough to think he could take me, I wouldn't wanna be walking away from him slowly and have him thinking "OH WOW MY H2 IS SO AMAZING AND NOW ITS EVEN MORE AMAZING BECAUSE THAT G35C CAN BARELY OUT-ACCELERATE ME HAHAHAHAHHAHA NOW LET ME GO TELL ALL MY H2 FRIENDS THAT HAVE NO BRAINS AT ALL JUST LIKE ME HAHAHAHAHHHAAAA"

you should ahve smoked that dumbass i ahte suvs and especailly h2 i was getting of the freeway and my windows were down and some stupid h2 driver was doing aobut 80 with his foot into it weeving in and out of traffic i could here the engine saying please get me some gas i am thirsty.
