GT-R will be sold in U.S. with Nissan badge

NEW YORK -- Nissan Motor Co. will sell the high-performance GT-R sports car as a Nissan in the United States, not an Infiniti.

The car is due in the United States in 2008, about a year after a redesigned version goes on sale in Japan in fall 2007.

Infiniti dealers in the United States had clamored for the car. But Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Nissan Motor, said the GT-R is a Nissan in all other markets.

Ghosn spoke Wednesday at the New York auto show.

This is one of those instances where the hotness of the car exceeds its badge.

I don't care what company gets it, I WANT ONE! :)

I like the fender bulges, not a bad looking car at all.

People ask why BMW is going to V8 in the M3 and turbos in the 3 Series. Right here is your answer.

How many Small Coupes does Datsun Need? How about a big Luxury Coupe, oh haven't found the right Euro brand to copy yet?

No really this is like the fifth one they all do the same thing, they are getting like Merc, not a good lead to follow, but please do.
