FOUND THIS ON ANOTHER BMW BOARD. TALKED TO THE PEOPLE AND THEY SAID IT HAS ACTUAL MILES!!!!! It is in New York. The guy doesn't drive it much cause he said he mostly uses his work truck. what do you guys think? i'm interested but is it gonna be too much of a risk with the "salvage" title?

You will want to verify that it was a theft recovery and what damage it had if any. A salvage title definately decreases the value of a vehicle but as the vehicle gets older and depreciates more, it make less and less difference. So if it appears that all repairs were done properly and you plan on keeping the car a few years, it's not a bad way to go. If you think you will only keep the car a year, it's might not be a good idea because you could have difficulty selling it down the road.

thanks soonere39. yeah i plan on keeping it a while cause with only 27K...it is just starting out. plus with that low miles, i can justify pouring money into if for upgrades.

What SoonerE39 said. Plus make sure you have an independent mechanic check it out. If they give you grief about doing that, walk away.

Otheriwse it looks like a sharp ride. [thumb]
