These images have been around for a while now. They are actually not "official" renderings by any means whatsoever. They were drawn up by a well-known car concept design guy for a hot rod magazine - I think it was either Popular Hot Rodding or Chevy High Performance.

They are no more than one guy's idea of what a return of the Camaro might look like, and unfortunately, that guy has no affiliation with GM whatsoever.

The official word is that there is a concept in the works, and it'll be based on a "low cost" 2-door version of the Caddy CTS chassis. There haven't been any official or even unofficial images released.

I would love to see a first generation ('67-'69) retro-themed Camaro comeback. The popularity of the new Mustang demonstrates that the market is out there for a car like that. Unfortunately, the Camaro is still in the penning stages - if GM goes through with it, they'll hit the market too late with the car and the enthusiasm will have died down by then. As usual, GM will be late to the game.

Let it die, it will make the remaining ones great sought after classics!
I'll tell you what - since they discontinued production of the Camaro, the value of first gen Camaros has gone up considerably, especially the '67 and '69. Glad I got one when I did, because there's no way I could afford to buy one in decent shape now! The value of mine has increased considerably since I bought it. I paid $5,000 for it about 10 years ago and it's now worth about $15,000!

My point exactly! I have a good friend who owns a 68 Z28 in perfect condition.

I like them somewhat, but they'll never come on market. GM thinks people would rather have economy cars that are half the quality of their competitor's cars.
