I recently purchased a Garmin iQue 3600 PDA/GPS. It’s a great little GPS but the vehicle mounting options are lacking, so I’m looking for any input/experience you guys might have regarding mounting a small GPS. I’m not willing to drill holes into my 330i.
The 2 mounting options Garmin offers is windshield suction cup system and a bean bag mount that just sits on the dash. Neither system, but especially the bean bag mount looks like it would hold up very well with a ‘spirited’ driver behind the wheel.
Can anyone with experience with GPS mounts recommend a good mount? Some one a while ago mentioned that some of the more recent BMW’s have an accessory mounting bracket located behind a dash panel. Anyone have any information on this? If this is true, it might made a good, fixed mounting point for a conventional mount.
Regards,
