I love my Mustang, 0-100 mph it is virtually untouchable (unless I am racing a vette (lost) or a Porsche (lost as well). I am forever getting challenged by Germans in there little ricer VW Polos and such. Last week while I was driving home on the autobahn there was a new 3 series wagon in front of me, I tried to play with him, notice I said tried. I could not catch him. I quit trying at 145 mph and the 3 series was still steadily pulling away from me. I think I need new gears, I am running 3.27's I am thinking about 4.10's. That would make it so that my 5th gear was not such a dog gear, now 5th serves as an overdrive. I have BKK long tube headers and Borla stinger exhaust on order. After that I am getting a Diablo sport chip and tuner. Maybe then I can run with the Audi A6's and BMW's at the top end speeds.

How fast was the engine spinning at 145 mph? You probably realize that going to 4.10s will reduce your top speed, but if you had a few 1000 RPM before redline, you'd still pick up some overall performance.

i would NOT get a 4.10 gear for you mustang. the mustang has alot of torque not a lot of high reving powing, the 4.10 works good for 4 clyder engines and 6 clyders. the v8s have a lot bigger power band so its better to have taller gears with the 3.26

and a mustang is not build for top speed. not even the new ones. meet that BMW at the next red light and show him "wo der hammer hängt!" [thumb]

and yes, i know what i am talking about (in a few weeks at least [rofl])

I would most definitely NOT go for 4.10 gears in your car. Not only will it reduce your top end, but your mileage will plummet significantly. One of my best friends put 3.73s in his '94 Cobra, and another friend put 3.73s in his 1998 GT convertible auto. The 3.73s are a good balance for the Fox body Stangs. They REALLY wake up the acceleration from a stop, but they don't reduce the top end quite as much as 4.10s would.

Hey thanks for the input guys, i was reading about that last night, 4.10's are good for getting off the line, which I have no issues with at this time any way. I will just stay with my 3.27's for now. I wanted a Supercharger, but keep in mind that I have a limited edition Mustang and to some people that makes it worth more if the engine is kept in tact. I can change the headers and exhaust without any signifigant changes to the engine. I just ordered a set of Steeda undrive pulleys which should give me about 20 hp extra at the wheels. Hopefully I can hit 325-350 Hp with boltons.

And your point is?????

I don't live in the US, and there are only 5582 Bullitt Mustangs in existence. God knows how many have been wrecked. Of the 5582 Bullitts made, there were only 750 Blue ones made, think that makes mine kind of a commodity item.

While there may only have been 750 blue Bullitt Mustangs built, I seriously doubt it will make the car worth any more in the long run. A Cobra of the same year will always be worth more and be more highly sought-after, even though they made significantly more of them.

You guys are missing the point, I know in the states it is "just" a mustang. But.... Germans like things that they cannot readily have a regular Mustang is a hard find for a german (if they don't want to fork out tons of money) A bullitt Mustang, which mind you was never made for export is an extremely rare find over here, so my guess is a Blue Bullitt must be damn near IMPOSSIBLE to find, which makes what I have a somewhat desirable car over here. I must have 3-5 people a week (Germans) ask me how much I want for it.

I Know that what i have in the states is no big deal, Kinda like owning a BMW in Germany
