front arm control and bushings

Last year I had my front lower control arms and bushings replaced (tires ok at this time), took my car in for yearly check up 13 months later (had put on about 9000 miles during this time) and they said I had to replace them (again) and would also need new front tires because the bad arms ruined the tires. Am I going to have to replace these every year or am I being taken by the mechanic? Please help me as I do not know anything about cars and would like to make sure I am not being taken for a ride (no pun intended).

Thanks in advance

I think other member will agree; unless you are auto-crossing your vehicle or driving severely harsh, you should not need to replace all that in a 13 month period.

Bells and whistles are going off in my mind; I wonder if he actually replaced them the first time.

Thanks for the responses. This is the dealership, one that I trust or in this case trusted, not sure about that now. I have a call in to the service advisor.

Ok I spoke with the dealership-they are reviewing the paperwork, my next quetion is do y'all think they are responsible for the tires since the service advisor did say the bad arm controls made the tires bad?(car had new tires in Jan of 04 mileage was 42,922 at this time, when serviced this last time car had
69,228, so about 25,000 miles on the tires) Also, should they refund me the parts and the labor? I just want what is fair.

Thanks again!

What is "fair" and what is "reasonable" unfortunately are not the same thing. I think it is "fair" for a partial refund on the tires, if they in fact admit that it was there poor parts that caused the problem. But it is reasonable for tires to last about 25k-30k.

Why are asking for a refund of parts and labor? Did they not replace them and charged you for it back then? Did they have to redo it now?
