What is wrong with them? If the dye ran the first time they got wet, or the fibers are falling out like a mangy dog, maybe you have a case. But if it is worn in a few spots, it's wear and tear.

It's the driver's side mat... the square piece where it says BMW is becoming unstitched and lifting off the rest of the mat. Next time it's in for service I'll make a suggestion that it be replaced for free. We'll see how that goes.

If i tried doing that in Europe, my dealer would laugh me in the face. No kidding. You drive a 2003 330CIC (for average americans, that would be a quite expensive car; just to let you know...) and are trying to replace something 'cheap' as a floormat at BMW's account while it is a wear and tear item? You must be kidding me.

Oh and please don't mistake me for being rude, I'm just totally surprised by this post.

hehe goodluck, but I think its considered wear and tear. Personally I like the all-weather rubber mats better plus they are more durable.

Gee, it's an expensive car? (sarcasm) Yes, well it is an expesive car new, however since I got it as a CPO, it's right around the average price for a new car. So, that puts me back in "average American" status. But thanks for taking the side of the dealerships that rape everyone with ridiculous labor rates...because we all know they are so poor.

Apparently I got spoiled when I had my "average American" cars, the floor mats never looked this horrible... even after driving them for over 100K miles.

Thanks, Tom. I'll look into those. I bought my father a set a few years ago and he also praised them.

Ok so lets just say that I dont even think Maybach or Bentley or RR would replace the mats for "free" just because of wear and tear.....I mean come on they arent THAT expensive...and a european dealer WOULD look at you crazy...LOL....and no I am not trying to be rude...condescending..yes...rude...no....LOL...
