That's not a good article though, i dont see that they took in to consideration that many more cavaliers were sold than Z3's...maybe I'm just mis-reading it?

yes you are misreading it. The death rate is deaths PER million registered vehicle years. That takes in to account the much larger numbers of cavaliers vs Z3s. It is not just the overall number of deaths, but per million vehicles. That levels the playing field so that you're comparing apples to apples.
