Hello, I drive a 2006 325i and I currently have almost 41 thousand miles on it. I have 2 years and 4 months left on my lease and the maintenance warranty ends at 50 thousand. My BMW dealer told me it was $1395 for the extended warranty for up to 100,000 miles. Does anyone know if this is worth it? I know it covers brake pads, wind shield wipers, oil changes and some kind of flush, but I'm not sure how much all this would be if I didn't get the extended warranty. Also, my tires are almost worn out according to the dealer. They quoted me at $1000 for 4 brand new, run flat tires that are the continental ones that come stock and that is including alignment. He told me that alignment was $200 and each tire was around $167 or so plus tax. Anyone know if this is high or if I can get the tires cheaper somewhere else? Lastly, since this is a lease, I have to buy these exact tires to put on my car correct? Thank you in advance if anyone has any help for me.

Just to clarify, you are talking about extended maintenance, and not extended warranty. They are two different things. As you mention, extended maintenance gets you brakes, etc. But it is not extended warranty and does not cover drive train mechanical failure, etc. That is more expensive.

If you get the brakes changed twice and get the oil changes, etc. you'll save a bit of money perhaps, not alot. In general, dealers make money on extended contracts, not you.

If that price including mounting and balancing, that's pretty good for a run flat. Tire Rack is $170 just for the Conti tire. $200 for alignment is high. Independents will do a 4 wheel alignment for about $60 - $100.
