I guarantee you those 24" wheels hold him back big-time. If he used his a nice wide set of 18's wrapped in summer tires, it would be so much quicker. But then again, with the 24's it already looks almost uncontrollable so I don't even know what 18's would do it its stability.

smaller tires would lead to more control. i read that multiple times. for example, the difference between 18" and 17" in breaking was about 3 foot. the 17ers were quicker at the stop and better to handle. and take a look at touring car races. they don´t run on 18 inchers...16 is their general size. must be a reason behind that.
so, maybe some smaller wheels could really make the cut?
