Interesting. It's hard to determine if the sheet metal is representing the intended shape of the final bodywork, or if it's just camoflage for a test mule.

I'd say the latter, becuase I hope bmw isn't making a copy of the GTO

Actually BMW had SMG I back then, but I am not sure if it was ever offered in the European M3....

It just wasn't a popular option, at all. I dont think they really marketed it.
