I agree. Thedy need to take lessons on the SMG tranny. Still love the exhaust note.
Wait a second...how did they get their "cant drive the new M5" hands on the new M5?

Yeah i just CAN'T warm to the new M5. I know it's a technical masterpiece and all that but it just seems that the character has been lost somewhere along the way. The V10 is obviously a beast but i don't see how it suits the M5's image. I think this power-war being played out between the manufacturers is rather pointless and the gaggle of electronics and technology put into the M5 is just too much. Whatever happened to effective simplicity? It just feels like the Motorsport division is losing some of that famous heritage and is becoming too commercialized... Just my thoughts anyway.

Awesome! Correct me if I'm wrong, but are they racing on an airplane runway? If so, how could I get my car on one and how much would it run me??? I wanna see what 150mph feels like, but there's no way I'm gonna do it on a public street....

Hahaha, sounds like a deal dude. I told ya before that I wanna head over to Germany to check your autobahn out. You just gotta scoop me up from the airport !!
Seriously though, do you guys ever think about this? BMW + autobahn...can life POSSIBLY get any better than that????

I hate to admit it but yes.....it could. MB E55, MB CL55, Lambo (any make) Porche (GT series preferably), Aston Martin, Ferrari. Yes Life could be better on the autobahn. But what sucks is, that you can only drive that fast for short spurts. The Autobahns are way to conjested with "no-performance" cars...slowing down the rest of us.
