That hurts. 50-60 mph impact with a concrete wall and the passenger has only a sore arm and shoulder, another to BMW engineering.

That does suck, but don't tracks have some different insurance programs that you can pay for on track days?

If you never went above 40 you were most likely at a BMW CCA Safety School. At the high performance driver's schools speeds can reach triple digit. Reference insurance, BMW CCA nor the tracks carry insurance to cover your car, they only carry liability insurance to cover them if someone sues them. Always check with you insurance carrier before attending an event. Some will cover you, because it is a school and not a "race". Some will not regardless!
