E36 1998 UK spec 328i SE

Hi,
I will be grateful if you could tell me if I am getting a good deal. I have been offered a E36 328I SE automatic (yes, sorry its automatic) with full m-tech body kit factory fitted with m-tech mirrors, sports suspension, climate control, in Dark Metallic blue and black leather. The car is a 1999 registered E36 and looks and drives great, the owner is asking £5000 British pounds is that good? The car has done 68K miles with full service history.
I would like to know if any British member is reading this and know's what the car is worth?
Also what is the fuel consumption like, I don't mind 25 miles per gallon, but anything less is financial suicide.

My dad has a 328i, and I know he gets over 30 mpg interstate (~75 mph). Not sure what he gets city because he basically only puts highway miles on it.

I don't know anything about car values in Britland, so I can't help you there.

68,000 miles with full service history. Don't forget petrol (gas) is about $8.00 a gallon here in the UK. So gas guzzler's are not popular. [bmwkick]
