Well for the past few weeks ive been gathering the last of the parts, and this is whats been done since the last update.

OBDI conversion is done (just waiting on a fuel pressure regulator then I can fire the engine)
24# Injectors in
540 HFM in
Motor mount spacers in
New steering rack with new tierods is in (just needs to be plumbed)
FINALLY got the damn axle bolts off the diff!!

All I got left now is,

Swap the diff
Change the guibo
Plug the slave cylinder in
Put a Rad in
Put the P/S res in
Plumb the P/S
Install shifter and linkage

Then put her back together and go get an exhaust welded on!

Thanks, should be done within a week, or atleast get towed to an exhaust shop by then. I would have it for this weekend if I didnt run into that stupid fuel pressure regulator problem. Im going to keep the rims since they are lightweight and cheap. I DEFINATLY need new tires asap. As for repaint... I still have $2500 in damage to the left side of the car and that side is going to get repainted, im going to get a CF hood soon to help balence out the new 6 cyl, so thats going to get painted, and im going to redo the bumper again once I get this all wrapped up.

Will you have cooling issues with that big S52 in your car?? I'm curious to see how you go. Keep us posted!
Naw, im going to use an m20 rad, the s14s is tiiiinnyyy, but most people use the late m20s or e36s (they are the same thing auctually) Im just going to gank the rad out of my 325i and spend 5 min making my res lines and mouting it somewhere.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I am considering an M50 and I was wondering.
1. did you use the orca cd, if not where did you get information on wireing, parts, etc.
2. how much did this end up costing, when all was said and done
3. how long did it take to complete
4. where did you look for good/cheap parts
5. aside from the fuel regulator what were your biggest hang ups
6. what would you say is the most important consideration for someone who is considering this project.
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the input.

I dont think saving 20 lbs on a hood will make up for much, esp when you went from a 260lb to a 370lb engine...
