you can do almost anything. but i dont know how much you'll get for $1k, thats really good. but you can do very well with $1k, but you need to be picky. i can help with that.
are you looking for a sub?
i reccomend replacing the stock components up front, pulling the rear ones, and leaving the hole open to vent air from 1 12" sub in the trunk in a sealed box. that with a new deck, and a 4 channel amp to power everything. that'll be right in your price range, the brands and models will affect every dollar though. dont buy anything too quick. if you want to know who to stay away from, and where to buy, let me know....been there don that many times over.
