E Class Safest- Says Report on Safety

There has been some interesting safety information released (see link).

I think this speaks volumes not only about car integrity but actual driver quality given certain car classes and types.

I’m not sure what the rest of you think but I see a strong argument for BMW drivers and similar as better and more conscientious drivers, especially when you compare the information from this report and also look at the actual individual car crash test results. Some crash test results are not far in terms of their actual survival predictions yet the actual numbers from this report are more widely spread between some cars, leaving the drivers as the only real variable.

Come to West LA and you'll quickly change your mind about BMW drivers. You know how everyone else thinks BMW drivers are pretentious assh0les? Well, that's cuz they see the SoCal ones. Shoot, I'll be driving along and see a bunch of BMWs recklessly (really recklessly) weaving through traffic causing others to swerve and I'll be shaking my fist going, "Damn BMW driver!" Almost makes me ashamed to be one.

All the E-class cars I've seen actually are driven really conservatively. Hell, our E even calms me down.

Yep, I have to agree with codex. The BMW drivers here are notorious for their pretentiousness and lack of consideration for other road users. The worst offenders are the school-mum's that drive X5's.

Note the report shows 8 of top 14 cars with the highest death rate are GM cars.
